Maggie and her mum are both having bad days - everything is just wrong - but when darkness falls and the moon comes out, thier inner wolves appear. They dance around the garden and HOWWWL! It feels good to be a wolf! Tired Maggie/Wolf Girl howls away the gripes and goes to bed happy to be a girl again. A fun story and bright illustrations- lots to talk about  - especially around what to do when you're just having a bad day!

Howl is a masterfully told and exquisitely drawn story of a young girl's way of expressing and resolving big feelings.

Maggie has had a very bad day.

First of all, the sun was the wrong shape, in a sky that was too blue. The spaghetti was too long, and her pajamas were the wrong kind of pajama.

Then Maggie begins to have wolfish thoughts...
