Simultaneous Storytime

Wednesday 23rd May 12.45pm

All Welcome!

National Simultaneous Storytime has been held in Australia for 18 years. Every year a picture book, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country. It is a colourful, vibrant, fun event that aims to promote the value of reading and literacy.

And this year it’s coming to New Zealand!

Join us and Chloe from Leys Institute Library at

The Dorothy Butler Children’s Bookshop

at 12.45pm on Wednesday May 23rd for a Mousey storytime.

We’ll gather at 12.45 to do some mouse themed craft. Then, at exactly 1pm, we’ll read this year’s chosen story -  Hickory Dickory Dash. (But one story isn’t enough, so we’ll read some more  mousey stories afterwards.)
